Visiting Gatlinburg is a treat for many reasons but one of the top perks of being surrounded by the Great Smoky Mountains National is the stunning views that can be found from three corners of town. Here are 3 of the top Gatlinburg attractions that are not only packed with fun but also offer up great views!

1. Gatlinburg SkyLift Park

gatlinburg skylift park and the mountains

The Gatlinburg SkyLift Park is home to the Gatlinburg SkyLift, one of the most iconic attractions in the Smokies. The park is only accessible by riding the chairlift to the top of Crockett Mountain. Once at the top guests can chase thrills by walking the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the United States of America. Take a walk over the bridge, take in the views, grab a drink or talk a walk along their newest addition, the SkyTrail. The Gatlinburg SkyLift Park has also become one of the top destinations for marriage proposals so if you’re bringing your sweetheart along and are considering popping the big question, you may want to keep the Gatlinburg SkyLift Park and SkyBridge in mind!

2. Anakeesta

On the other side of Gatlinburg is Anakeesta Mountain and a favorite place to play for both guests in town and locals. At Anakeesta you have the option of riding a chairlift, an enclosed gondola, or the Ridge Rambler if you’re not a fan of heights. The Rail Runner mountain coaster, Black Bear Village, AnaVista Tower, Treetop SkyWalk, Vista Gardens, Pearl’s Pie in The Sky, and the Smokehouse are just a sliver of what you’ll find awaiting at the summit of Anakeesta.

3. Ober Gatlinburg

Ober Gatlinburg Tramway Mall in downtown Gatlinburg

Ober Gatlinburg is Tennessee’s only ski resort and sits above downtown Gatlinburg on Mount Harrison. The Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway takes guests on a ride that is filled with views and information on Gatlinburg as they make their way to the top. Ober Gatlinburg is also the only location of the three that we’re listing today that can be accessed by vehicle and that allows for parking at the top. Ober Gatlinburg is filled with year-round fun but winter is most certainly their most popular season. Tubing, snowboarding, skiing, and great events really set the mood during a wintertime trip to Gatlinburg.

If you’re planning a trip to the Smoky Mountains and Gatlinburg, then a stay at our downtown Gatlinburg hotel is the perfect way to experience all that the area has to offer. We are just steps away from the Ober Gatlinburg Tramway and a short walk from the Gatlinburg SkyLift Park and Anakeesta. We’re also just down the road from the Gatlinburg entrance of the national park. Staying with us allows you to easily explore both downtown Gatlinburg and our beautiful Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
