1. Cliff Top

It’s not a secret that a trip to Anakeesta includes some of the most stunning views in Gatlinburg, but did you know that they have a great place to grab some grub as well? Among other choices on the top of Anakeesta Mountain, you’ll find Cliff Top. This special spot provides an elevated dining experience and serves modern American cuisine. Enjoy mouth-watering steaks, burgers named after some of the greatest hiking destinations in the Smokies, signature salads, savory appetizers, and house-made desserts. After your meal, grab a drink at the nearby bar while you watch a beautiful Smoky Mountain sunset!

2. The Greenbrier

Are you visiting Gatlinburg and the Smokies to celebrate a special occasion or do you just really enjoy an extra nice meal? If so, The Greenbrier is one local dining experience that you’ll want to add to your foodie list! It’s a family-friendly place with an extra cozy ambiance, and a local tradition for many. An evening at The Greenbrier is one that is certainly a fine dining experience but also casual and relaxed. Baked oysters, Bang Island Mussels, Trout En Papillote, an artisanal cheese board, high-quality steak options, and more can be found on their list of available dishes. You’ll also find a top of the line selection of bourbon, whiskey, craft cocktails and wine. Mix one of the top culinary experiences in the Smokies with the beauty of the Greenbrier area of the hills and you have a perfect evening waiting for you here in east Tennessee. Tip: Make a reservation. The Greenbrier is greatly loved and if you want a spot at table, you’ll want to call ahead.

3. Seasons of Ober

For the past 50 years guests visiting Gatlinburg have had the opportunity to explore Ober Gatlinburg. Ober is Tennessee’s only sky resort but also they offer year-round fun for everyone! You can reach the area by driving to the top of the mountain or you can just walk across the street from our downtown Gatlinburg hotel and take a ride on the Aerial Tramway. The tramway gives you the chance to not only take in the views from the summit of the mountain, but to also enjoy the breathtaking vistas on the way up. You’ll find numerous options for food and fun, but our favorite is Seasons of Ober. Their menu has a little bit of something for everyone. The Southern Favorites collection of dishes include country fried steak, catfish, chicken and waffles and more. Enjoy a heaping plate of spaghetti and meatballs or enjoy a Ober Gatlinburg-er with fries and maybe a side of fried green tomatoes. A bowl of Tennessee chili, an Ober’s Lodge Salad or the Ski House Sampler are excellent choices as well. The next time you’re in Gatlinburg, ride up on the Aerial Tramway, enjoy a dining experience with incredible views and take time to have some fun while you’re at the top as well!

4. The Peddler

The Peddler Steakhouse is one of the most loved Gatlinburg restaurants and is located just down the road from our hotel. You won’t find any stunning vista overlooks from this Smokies dining spot but you will find yourself beside a beautiful tranquil river that flows from the peaks of our Smoky Mountain hills. Offering call ahead seating, The Peddler opens daily at 5p.m. and is often the destination of guests that are celebrating a special occasion or treating themselves to a nice dinner. Their menu consists of custom cut steaks, prime rib, fresh rainbow trout, and more.
